I met Chere’ in 2005 when we began teaching on the same grade level team across the hall from each other. We shared a love of animal print, babies and margaritas. When I earned my Master’s degree, Chere’ was my sponsor. She has babysat my children and we have even made wine together. (The fancy word for wine-making is vinification. Who knew?!) We also spent a week with her mom in Clearwater, Florida when one of us may have laughed so hard we peed our pants on a ride home one evening. Now we are both out of the classroom and continue our relationship over margaritas or wine and a wonderful conversation. I will never forget that I was in Chere’s dining room when I was fired over email. My mouth dropped open, I said, “They just fired me,” and she didn’t skip a beat; she walked straight to the kitchen and poured me a glass of wine.
Chere’ has turned her high energy and happy spirit into a remote make-up selling business. She began as a distributor after retiring. Before she knew it, the quality and popularity of the products created a small business for her.
